I’m a husband. I’m a dad. I’m a Christian. And I’m a local guy who believes if you’re going to put your name on something, you better be willing to stand behind it.
My family and I live here in the Uniontown area. This is home. These are the communities our kids are growing up in, the places we shop, the people we run into, and the neighbors we want to take care of.
That’s really where Vortex came from.
I didn’t want to build another home-service company where you call a number, get whoever happens to be available, and hope they take care of you.
I wanted something different. Something personal. Something our family could be proud to put our name on.
I grew up around Pittsburgh, played baseball, and graduated from California University of Pennsylvania. I spent years working in oil and gas before eventually deciding I wanted to build something of my own, something right here in the community I call home.
Today, Vortex is intentionally small and family-owned. When you call us, you’re not getting passed around to a giant office or handed off to a stranger.

Wet, steep, or soft roofs. Every time, regardless of the ticket.
$99 whole-house duct flushes. That is a bait price for work we do not offer.
Air-only cleaning. It looks fast and can make the problem worse.
Calling a run clean when it is not. If it cannot be cleared, you see it on camera and do not pay for the cleaning.

How long does it take?
Most homes take 45 to 75 minutes.
Is the site price real?
Yes, plus tax. We confirm it before unplugging anything.
Are repairs included?
No. Repairs are a separate line and approved before work.
How often should it be cleaned?
Usually once a year. Heavy-use homes may need six months.
I clean the lint trap every load. Is that not enough?
The trap catches part of the lint. The rest travels into the duct and settles in turns where you cannot see or reach it.
How do I know if mine is a Long Run?
Second floor, over 15 feet, three or more turns, or a cap you cannot reach from the ground. Any one of those makes it $229 plus tax. Run the price estimator and you will know in thirty seconds.
Are you going to make a mess?
Drop cloths go down before anything is unplugged and the vacuum runs while we brush. We leave the laundry room clean.
My vent goes out the roof. Can you do it?
Yes. It is starting at $299 plus tax, depending on pitch and height. If it is wet or the shingles are soft, we reschedule.
Gas dryer?
Yes. We shut the gas off, disconnect the dryer, and check the connection before we put it back.
Why is there tax on my invoice?
Pennsylvania taxes dryer vent cleaning at 6 percent. Repair parts and labor are listed separately on the invoice.
What if you cannot clear it?
Sometimes a run is crushed inside a wall or vented somewhere it should not be. If it cannot be cleaned, we show you on camera, explain the repair, and you do not pay for a cleaning we did not deliver.
